Gushi is not an app with reporting bolted onto it. Both halves run on the same learning state: for every word and every character, how likely it is to be remembered right now. The learner meets it as a queue. The teacher reads it as a class.
The teacher picks the unit of their HSK textbook that is coming up, sees how ready each student is for exactly that unit, and unlocks it in one click. Homework stops being something you assemble and check. It becomes something you release and read.
The value is in the coupling, and we would rather say that plainly: a dashboard with no app has nothing to show, and an app with no dashboard is one more app.

Two people building this in their spare time.
Not an education company — two people who fell for China and its language and never quite got over it. We have both stood in Beijing and in the gardens at Suzhou, we have been learning Chinese for years, and we have both sat on the student side of a lesson with a teacher who could not see what we had done all week.
What we kept coming back to was Anki: assembling decks, repairing decks, hunting for the one that was not missing half its audio — and never being sure we were studying the right thing rather than just studying. Everything that finally worked is in here. We are still building, we do this in our own time, and at this stage we are looking for partners rather than customers.
